Noah Pepin Papigatuk

Team Leader - Salluit

Community of affiliation: Salluit

Language(s): Inuktitut, English, and French

3rd Year at Qaulirmat

Hi, I’m Noah Pepin Papigatuk. I’m proud to be an Inuk from Salluit, and over the years I’ve built a reputation as a role model, a seasoned underground miner, and someone my community can count on. Mining taught me discipline and resilience, but it also taught me humility—because the earth doesn’t bend to you, you have to learn how to work with it.

When Qaulirmat first came to life, I felt an immediate attachment to its mission. From day one, I threw myself into helping bring it to Puvirnituq, and it’s been an honour to be instrumental in making that happen. For me, Qaulirmat isn’t just a program—it’s a path for our youth to connect with land, culture, and each other.

I’m trilingual, and my journey learning to navigate the world in different languages and spaces has made me into a bridge—someone who can connect people, values, and ideas. My friends would probably describe me as kind, loyal, virtuous, and yes, stubborn. I’ll admit it—I don’t back down easily. But when it comes to standing up for what’s right, that stubbornness has its place.

I also carry a sense of humour that people like to call “odd but remarkable.” I’ll take that as a compliment—because if I can make people laugh, then I know I’ve done something good.

My passions are simple but meaningful: anything that gets me outdoors, spending time with my family, and (I’ll admit) diving down YouTube rabbit holes about cars. Those small things keep me grounded and connected to who I am.

What I know most of all is how much I esteem and value my fellow Inuit. I see their strength every day, and it gives me confidence to share my vision of the future: a Nunavik rooted in prosperity, unity, and resilience. That vision isn’t just mine—it’s one I know we can all build together and meaningfully contribute to.
